School District Financial Statistics

School District Financial Statistics contains annual financial information for school districts, as submitted by state education agencies in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. In virtually all cases, data reflect that as reported by the state, although in some instances, data have been adjusted. Membership indicates the reported fall enrollment. Fiscal years run from July 1-June 30, except for Alabama, which runs from October 1 through September 30, and Nebraska and Texas, which run from September 1-August 31. The source for these data is the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), which contains more information on data categories.
