Number of Hate Crimes

RAND New York Hate Crime Statistics reports the number of hate crime events for counties, city and other law enforcement jurisidictions, and the state. A hate crime is defined as one where the victim's race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or physical or mental disability is the motivation. The source for these data is the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.
